Human Resources Certification in Florida | FL

The option that many people are not aware of is to obtain human resources certification in Florida. Similar to the different degrees you can obtain, there are also different levels of certification.

The first level of HR certification in Florida is a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). In order to be eligible for a PHR, you must have experience in the field of human resources. The number of years of experience you need will depend upon your education. If you do not have a bachelor's degree, you will need at least four years of experience within the industry. This number drops lower as you obtain higher degrees. A bachelor's degree requires two years of experience and if you have a master's degree, only one year is required.

The requirements for experience are similar if you are seeking a Senior Professional in Human Services (SPHR) certification. If you do not have a four-year degree, you will need 7 years experience, a bachelor's degree requires 5 years and a master's degree requires 4 years. The higher degree that you have, the faster you will be able to obtain your certification.

Obtaining human resources certification in Florida will show that you have met the national criteria for human resource professionals. This certification will also make you more marketable and will likely result in moving higher on your own pay scale.
